On behalf of Mr. Georges Mallego, the President of the International Microcupper Class Association (IMCCA) I have to inform you about the following decision:
The Executive Committee of the IMCCA has decided that the 2005 Micro World Championships will not be organised in Serbia-Montenegro.
The reason is that no Serbian boat has taken part in an international Micro race outside of your country. There was never a measurement of a Serbian Boat by an IMCCA approved measurer.
In case of failing the measurement there would be only no Serbian competitors who could take part in the 2005 Worlds. With the expected 10 to 15 boats from outside the number of competitors would not fulfil the requirement of ISAF Regulation 18.2.1(b) regarding the number of competitors.
The 2005 Micro World Championship will be organized by the Latvian Microclass Association on Lake Usma, Latvia from August 14 – 20, 2005.
Contact: Marcis Kalnins
This change of the venue is approved by ISAF.
